Easy channel swap for IR photography

January 12th, 2011 by ceenbitta

A quick tutorial I put together to show how to create the illusion on winter scene with a digital infrared photograph. On a side note, yes, I realize I should have lowered my screen resolution before capturing the video. This is the first time I’ve used my new screen capture software. I’ll upload a better version when I get the chance.

Golf: Mental Training

January 11th, 2011 by ceenbitta

The game of golf requires not only the physical skills you have practiced in the previous sections but also mental skills to direct your body and allow it to execute the physical skills. Because golf requires both strength and precision, it is important that you learn to relax as you prepare to hit your golf shot and take advantage of the fact that each shot is a ”contest” of its own to put the ball where you want. This article provides you the opportunity to develop the skills to optimize your level of body tension to prepare for your best round of golf.

Each golf swing can be thought of as a separate, self-paced movement. Because you have complete control over when and how you hit the shot, what you do before you start your swing can be used as a solid base. Your pres-hot behaviors should be almost identical for each shot and serve as a reliable, and repeatable, first step. Your preparation routine should be practiced so much that it becomes an automatic part of each shot. You should go through it for each shot and especially when distracted or under pressure of competition.

Why Is Mental Control Important?

When you watch great tennis players serve or basketball players shoot free throws, notice how they do the same thing before each shot. Some bounce the ball the same number of times before each attempt; others take a deep breath and spin the ball in their hands. These are not merely superstitious behaviors they are part of the pres-hot preparation and serve as a signal to the body that it is time for action.

If you do the same thing before each shot, you can check that you are ready for the swing and also be sure that your body is in the best position to act.

Your pre-swing routine, allows you to focus your attention and get in the best position to hit the ball. It also helps keep you from being over analytic. Some golfers find themselves thinking about the specifics of their shots or doubting their abilities just before hitting the ball. During the pres-hot routine, and practice swing, you can free your mind of all of those thoughts. Remember, as Jack Nicklaus said, “The golf swing happens far too fast for you to direct your muscles consciously you must let it go.”

In golf, a pre-shot routine should include selecting a target and club, concentrating, and taking your setup. You should select a sequence that makes you feel especially relaxed and comfortable. Your setup may be different from what someone else does. There is no one right sequence, just your sequence. The key to success is that you do the same things before each of your shots.

Use Filtered Water Coolers to drink fresh filtered water and have Golf Cart Windshields to protect you from the consequences of rebel golf balls.

Article Marketing Strategies – 6 Red Hot Tips to Get Your Articles Read

January 2nd, 2011 by ceenbitta

Article marketing is one of the best, most cost-effective ways to drive visitors to your site. You write articles about a subject you are an expert of, add a signature box that includes links back to your own site, post them to appropriate ezines and directories, and enjoy an increase in visitors.

Of course, you have to have something interesting to say. An article likening dust motes to nubby sweaters is not likely to garner much attention. At least, not any positive attention.

The best articles are those that share helpful information with readers. The internet, after all, is where the majority of us go for information. If you can deliver needed information to readers, they are likely to keep coming back for more. Even the best of information needs to be well-presented, well-written and interesting. Below are 6 red hot tips to help boost your readership.

1) Use Short Paragraphs

Many people simply skim their way through articles. Dense, heavy paragraphs are a turn-off to people who feel that they have to dig through all that prose to get to the one tid-bit of usable information. Yes, you are doing them a favor by giving them the information, but don’t make them have to work for it (they won’t appreciate you if you do).

Remember: you want people to read your articles. That means you have to deliver them they way they want to read them, not necessarily the way you want to write them.

2) Use Bullets and Numbers

(Like I am doing here). Bullets and numbers help to break down information into chunks or steps that readers can easily grasp. Further, they highlight the fact that each tip/idea/bit is important in its own right.

3) Use Sub-headings or Sub-Titles

Not all ezines and article directories will allow you to do this. When they do, however, take full advantage of them. Sub-headings allow you to highlight the most important information and to draw attention to it. Your sub-headings also let readers know when your information is taking a turn, or when you are introducing a new idea. Alerting readers to these changes allows them to keep up with you as they don’t have to pause to figure out why you’ve just switched subjects.

4) Choose an Attention-Grabbing, Keyword-Rich Title

Search engines attempt to figure out what an article is about by “reading” the title and then searching the article to make sure the article has delivered on the title. When the search engine is confident that it “knows” what the article is about, it ranks it higher than articles that it can’t clearly define.

So, for the search engines, it is important that your title contain the keywords people are likely to enter into a search engine when trying to find information. You’ll notice that this article‘s title begins with “Article Marketing Strategies.” That is my way of letting the search engines know exactly the sort of information they will find here.

Readers might appreciate knowing what this article is about, but people are a bit more emotional than search engine spiders. For that reason, it is always a good idea to appeal to reader emotions in the title as well.

5) Keep Readers Interested from Beginning to End

Don’t give it all away in the first paragraph and then fill the rest of your minimum-word-count with drivel. If your subject matter is so small that it only warrants one sentence or paragraph, then maybe it is not a good candidate for a full-length article. Or, maybe you can find another similar subject to compare or contrast your subject to.

Another way to keep readers interested is to beef up your articles with real life stories or anecdotes. People love to read about other people, so if you can inject some real life stories into your writing, even the most mundane subject can become interesting.

6) Use Facts and Figures When Appropriate

If you can bolster your article with facts and figures, do so. This not only gives readers useful, verifiable information, it establishes you as an authority on your chosen subject.

One of the most important things to remember about article marketing is that there are two people involved, each with his/her own needs and wishes. You, the writer, want to entice readers back to your site. Your reader, however, will only go to your site if he/she believes there is something there that he/she can benefit from. It is up to you to use your articles to convince readers that visiting your site can be beneficial for them. The way you do this is to make your articles as reader-friendly as possible

Cheap Domains – Domain Ideas – Inexpensive Domains For Affiliate Marketing

January 1st, 2011 by ceenbitta

OK. We’re going to talk about Domain Ideas for your new Niche Web Site and also, since you may be on a tight budget, we’ll talk about Cheap Domains and/or Inexpensive Domains, most particularly for Affiliate Marketing. This Post assumes that you have read the prior Post and have come up with an idea of what you will be concentrating on for your niche marketing Web Site.

Lets jump right in! Remember, your niche is going to be something you are passionate about and something you wont lose interest in over time.

We recently met a gentleman from South Carolina at the AffCon Miami Affiliate Marketing Convention who has a long family history in Welding. He has now since retired from Welding, but he has over 40 years of Welding experience that he can share with an audience that wants to learn more about Welding. We suggested to him that his first order of business was to pick a keyword rich domain name for his new niche Web Site. After doing a little research, we came up with a number of ideas, all containing the word “welding”. Although “welding” is a highly competitive keyword that he would probably never rank well for by itself in the search engines, we suggested he tried adding his first name and things like “”tips and tricks” or “techniques and strategies”. This would yield a domain name that would look like this. “firstnamesweldingtipsandtricks.whatever” or firstnamesweldingtechniques.whatever”. Important to note is that the “.whatever” should be a.com,.org..net, or.info as most other domain extensions rarely rank well with the engines.

So whatever you decide your niche is going to be, first concentrate on your domain name and doing a little research on it. As you will see in later posts, your domain name will be the “tip of the iceberg” as far as your keyword ranking in the search engines is concerned. The better your ranking, the more organic traffic you are going to see! The more organic traffic your site receives, the more sales you can generate with Affiliate Offers you have on your site.

In the example above, this gentleman’s niche site, eventually, might have monetizing links to home improvement sites that have an affiliate program or perhaps monetizing links to Welding Supply Houses that sell high-end Welding Machines where he could make a substantial commission if the visitor made a purchase.

Something else to remember, is when starting out in this business and creating a blog or web site, you don’t want to add monetizing links in the beginning. All you should be concentrating on, at first, is creating content and value for your site visitors. You want to build your site and yourself as an authority on your particular niche’s subject line so that visitors, whom also have an interest in what your niche is about, will want to come back to your site to see what more you can offer them.

In conclusion, do a little keyword research first and come up with a domain name for yourself. You are going to want to “Host” your new domain with a hosting service where you can get a domain name and hosting inexpensively. There are many places for domain names and hosting as many Affiliate Marketers, both new and seasoned. Use one hosting service for all your hosting and domain acquisitions so as to keep everything organized. The reason being is that you wont lose track of all your domain names. Find one that has domain registration relatively inexpensive as well as unlimited hosting packages around $6 to $10 per month.
